The council appointed Heritage Architecture consultancy to begin work on the Conservation Area Audit.

Draft conservation area audit

The consultants conducted further research, including initial walkabouts with key local stakeholders, including amenity societies. The evidence and feedback gained from this work will feed into the draft document.

Research and drafting

Using Commonplace, the council will seek views from a wide range of stakeholders to inform the emerging draft.


Informal consultation

The council will feedback to local stakeholders on information gathered and consult on draft material for the conservation area audit before launching formal consultation on a draft.

Formal Consultation

The team will make the necessary amendments to the draft document based on the evidence and comments received.


Further drafting

The document will be submitted for adoption.
